Template:TV-in-universe The Snow Kids is the name of the sports team made up of the main protagonists of Alpanim's 2006 animated series Galactik (sic) Football.

The Snow Kids are a group of young people recruited by Aarch to represent their planet Akillian in the Galactik Football Cup. They train at Aarch Academy under their coach and his technical staff, Dame Simbai and Professor Clamp.

The team name was suggested by the team goalkeeper, Ahito and is in reference to the fact that Planet Akillian has been suffering an ice age for more than fifteen years. Ahito also suggests that the title is a crude pun on the words "Snow Boards".

The Snow Kids' single uniting element in their style of play is that, with one exception, they are capable of using the "Breath of Akillian," a Flux indigenous to the population of Akillian that gives heightened speed, agility and recuperative powers. The breath is visible as in the form of blue plasma trails which surround a player when using it.

The team wear a blue and white uniform identical to the one worn by the last successful Akillian team fifteen years previously.

The Snow Kids

  • D'Jok :

D'Jok is the striker of the Snow Kids. He was looking for his destiny and he found it in football. His faith in success and his skills led him to master Flux second after Tia. During the series he wears a bracelet from his mother. He's a son of Sonny Blackbones, Pirates leader and the best friend of Micro-Ice. D'Jok wears jersey number 9, the same number as his icon, Galactik Football star Warren.

The Snow Kids star passer with a 100% accuracy and the nephew of the coach, Aarch, he is the midfielder and Captain of the team. Close to the other midfielder, Tia,he gives Tia a kiss in one episode to show that he loves her. Rocket is somewhat of a shy and reclusive character. In one episode, Rocket runs away because he feels he doesn't belong in the team. He goes back after Micro-Ice, D'Jok and Tia go looking for him. He is a brilliant free-kicker. Rocket wears the jersey number 5.

Tomboyish Tia is the first of the Snow Kids to master the Flux. She plays as attacking midfielder and has a close relationship with the other midfielder and captain, Rocket. Tia is shy, but gradually in the series, she finds her place in the team. She is the ambassador's daughter and in the beginning she is forbidden from playing football.

Tia wears jersey number 4. The only other significant player to wear this number in the series is the Wambas star Lune Zera.

Micro-Ice is the Striker and the best friend of D'Jok, with a big crush on the Snow Kid's Goalkeeper, Yuki. He also knew Thran, Ahito and D'Jok way before Aarch made the team. He left the team after Mei seduced D'Jok (to become a Striker), but comes back when he felt that the team needs him. As Aarch stated, Micro-Ice's creativity in the field of the match is his greatest ability as a footballer. After he fell in love with Zoeleene, D'Jado's daughter, he asked Mei if she could teach him how to seduce girls. He is the fan of Sonny Blackbones. He also has a comrade in Pirates.

Micro-Ice wears jersey number 3.

Thran is the Snow Kid's defender and the twin brother of Ahito. He's very intelligent and knows much about machines. and is a friend of Clamp, the Snow Kids robot-engineer.

Thran wears jersey number 2.

Mei is the overly-ambitious and defender of the Snow Kids. Although she's gifted in her current position, she badly wants to be Striker for the media attention and advertising career. She was trying to break the friendship between Micro-Ice and D'Jok, but after Micro-Ice (who had a crush on her) left the team, she felt very guilty for this. She finally accepted her position as the Defender of the team. Her mother wants her to make career at all cost, but she learned from Micro-Ice, how to refuse her deeds. After the team became famous, Mei became a shampoo advertisements star. Later in the series she fell in love with D'Jok, and they exchanged a kiss after the finals.

Mei wears jersey number 7.

Ahito is the Snow Kids goalkeeper. He rarely misses the ball and despite his rather odd sleeping patterns, is alert during the game. He's the twin brother to Thran. It's revealed that he needs to take medicine to be aware at the match.

Ahito wears jersey number 1.

  • Yuki

Yuki is Thran and Ahito's cousin. At Thrann's suggestion she is recruited by the Snow Kids to take Ahito's place after he falls ill in Season 2. She initially lacks confidence in her abilities and finds it difficult to get along with D'Jok who takes an immediate dislike to her. She also seems to like Micro-ice but hides it by playing with his emotions. She wears the number 8 jersey.

  • Mark

Mark joins the team in Season 2 to replace Rocket, who is suspended after using the Breath illegally. He is an old friend of D'Jok's from before the formation of the team.

Mark wears jersey 6.

Former players

Sinedd used to be the Striker of the original Snow Kids but early in the series he abandoned his team to join the Shadows. Little is known about his past except that his parents died in an unknown Flux war. He is very arrogant, has a pessimistic nature and doesn't believe in team-play. His heated rivality with D'Jok, unwillingness to pass the ball during matches and aggressive style of playing caused friction between him and Aarch, which resulted in Sinedd leaving the Snow Kids. As a Shadows player his thirst for violence was highed due to the Smog usage. The alien Flux also appears to take its toll on his physical and mental health. Deadly striker and amazing dribbler, Sinedd is considered as one of the best players in Galactik Football Cup.

Sinedd wears jersey number 11, the same number worn by Artegor Nexus.
