Re: Samand; Codenamed X7 during development, it is based on the 405 platform.

Any proofs that Samand is based on 405 platform? Which parts? Source? Kiumars 16:04, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Paykanfootballlogo.jpg

Image:Paykanfootballlogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Iran National and Iran Khodro

It's been disscussed[1] that Iran Khodro and Iran National should be merged. As an Iranian I think this is a good decision.
Actually After the Islamic Revolution in Iran many companies and organizations changed named for several reasons. I am not sure about the reason why Iran National changed name to Iran Khodro, but I have seen Paykans (Paykan is the legendary product of this manufacture in Iran!) and minibuses with both factory names. I have no doubt Iran Khodro is the former Iran National.

The reason for change of name is that after the revolution there was a general revulsion against "national" things (melli) as they were seem as opposing Islam (Nationalist vs Ismalist views), hence they removed "national" from almost every name.

Merge from Pars Khodro

Pars Khodro and Iran Khodro seems to be the same. Yet there are a few differences - founding date, website, products, ... - so maybe someone may merge this better and faster than I could. Enjoy! - Nabla (talk) 15:30, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WHO ON EARTH SAID THEY ARE THE SAME?! Nonsense! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.120.108.113 (talk) 12:37, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
