Temasek Polytechnic (Abbreviation: TP; Chinese: 淡马锡理工学院; Malay: Politeknik Temasek) is the third polytechnic to be set up in Singapore. The polytechnic was established on April 6, 1990. It has a 30-hectare campus, which is approximately equivalent to 33 international-size football fields. Located in the east of Singapore, overlooking the scenic Bedok Reservoir, TP's campus places particular emphasis on the preservation of the natural environmental heritage.[1] Temasek Polytechnic has approximately 15,000 full-time students and more than 1,200 academic staff.

Temasek Polytechnic is well-known for its vibrant campus life, abundantly-stocked library and keen participation in water-related activities due to its close vicinity to a reservoir. For its commitment to a world-class education, TP has received various awards and numerous accreditations, such as the Public Service Excellence Award, People Developer Award, Singapore Quality Class, as well as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
