The 150th Armored Reconnaissance Squadron is a West Virginia Army National Guard unit with troops in multiple locations throughout West Virginia.

Headquarters: Bluefield, West Virginia A TRP: Williamson, West Virginia B TRP: Eleanor, West Virginia C TRP: Glen Jean, West Virginia


History

The unit was once known as the 150th Armor Battalion and used M1 Abrams tanks. Now, the unit is composed of all cavalry scouts who use HMMWVs and Bradley Fighting Vehicles. The squadron is part of the 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team in Clinton, North Carolina. The unit deployed to Iraq in 2004 and is slated to deploy again in 2009.
