Anatomical terminology

A series of arches formed by the tarsal and metatarsal bones, and strengthened by ligaments and tendons, allow the foot to support the weight of the body in the erect posture with the least weight.

The arches are categorized as:

Pathology

Insufficiently expressed arches are called flat feet.

Exaggerated arches, on the other hand, are the somewhat less common pes cavus, particularly if high arches cause trouble or problems. But contrary to popular studying, people with high arches don't always hurt around certain portions of the foot. And some high arches may be very flexible in the foot, though some can be inflexible.

Studies regarding foot arches, however, may be poisoned by mistakes or may contain flawed researches.

The Arch Styles

{main|Arches of the Foot} Contrary to popular belief the real definitions of "average" arches are rather poorly defined and not very clear. Some people have low arches without problems or health matters. Flat footed people may become affected with problems, but this isn't always the case. Many people are born with the feet having no arch or extremely low arch in the foot. High arches-contrary to popular belief-are beneficial sometimes. In fact, some people having high arches have no significant issue or troubles with their health. But sometimes, yes, high arches may lead to problems. Arches studies, however, are under substandard data and poorly defined information. Many people creating these studies are basing certain studies around false evidence, lacks of evidence or substandard evidence.

You need to really do your own research with foot arches and see whichever arch really fits you. Some people may love the high arches in their feet or some may like low arches in their feet. So called "normal" arches are actually medium arches-there isn't really such things as "normal" arches. Nobody's arches are normal. High arches, however, are more prevalent around females by eight to twenty times than males. Some may find the high arches of humans' feet as rather lovely, beautiful or gorgeous.

Incorrect Studies or Shoddy Researches

So called experts are passing "information" saying that flat arches cause these, high arches cause those; this can cause misleading, deceiving studies or issues of inaccuracies about foot's arches. Better information on foot arches must be represented because the unreliable and poorly based studies that are floating around everywhere including online are very detrimental on too many levels.
