A misnamed article is a Wikipedia article with a name that refers to something that isn't that name. In many cases, an article like this could have little or no Google hits on the Internet. Often times, these articles are put on VfD.

In other cases, those articles might have a redirect if the name is a secondary, tertiary or fairly mainstream synonym for the topic. If the article is referring to something that has no potential to becoming a full article, it might get deleted.
