Khategaon is a town and a nagar palika in Dewas district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
Geography
Khategaon is located at 22°36′N 76°55′E / 22.6°N 76.92°E[1]. It has an average elevation of 305 metres (1000 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census[2], Khategaon had a population of 21,018. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Khategaon has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 56%. In Khategaon, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age. The boys of Khategaon made the history when they selected for studies in IIT, most reputed technical institute of our country.

Mr. Swapnil Jain did something very bad in khategaon mandir complex, that became a huge scandal in the village.Mr. jain was only 6 yrs old when this scandal took place.
