Warren Brown is a English actor and former 2 times World Thai Boxing Champion born in Warrington, Cheshire, on the 11th May 1978.

After spending 10 years of teaching and competing across the world, Warren decided to retire from Thai Boxing in 2003 in an attempt to pursue a new career in acting.

Acting

Warren had very little experience in the way of professional acting, however following a chance meeting with a casting director named David Shaw he was invited to an audition for the role of Donny Maguire in Channel 4 drama Shameless he won the role starring in 3 episodes during 2004 and 2005.

Hollyoaks

Following his role in Shameless, Warren won arguably his most famous role to date, as evil Andy Holt in Channel 4's teen soap opera Hollyoaks. Despite being 28 at the time, it was said his youthful good looks helped him win the role of the student. Brown was nominated for a number of awards for his performance in the show including Best Villain, Most Spectaclular Scene and Best Exit at the 2006 British Soap Awards.[1]

Brown's character Holt eventually reached his demise in February 2006.

2006-present

Brown, meanwhile, won a role in the short-lived ITV1 show Jane Hall in the summer of 2006. This was then followed in March 2007 by his role as Tommo in the ITV's Mobile.

Also in 2007 he starred as Chris in one episode of Casualty.

In September 2007 he starred in the 2nd series of BBC 3's Grownups.[2]

In 2008 Brown was the voiceover for the film trailer on the soon to be released Gomez: A true story based on the life of boxer Michael Gomez and starring Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher.[3]
