No mention of who originally came up with the structure. According to Bob Moog, Vladimir Ussachevsky of Columbia University proposed this envelope format which Bob subsequently used. (Source: 'Analog Days: The Invention and Impact of the Moog Synthesizer' by Trevor Pinch and Frank Trocco).
