An "interwiki transclusion bot"
I'm trying to get someone to write a bot that will copy a few news items from a subpage at Wikinews to a subpage here. The concept is fairly simple. That hard part is to get someone to take pitty one me and do it. I'll keep you posted. RichardF (talk) 01:16, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- If so, that is something that could be very useful for the News sections across multiple different portals. Thanks for the initiative! Cirt (talk) 05:15, 29 December 2007 (UTC).
- I'm working on it. :-) RichardF (talk) 06:25, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- I see that. I'm not too good with that kind of transcluding cross-project stuff, or with bots, so I'll leave that up to you. Cirt (talk) 06:58, 29 December 2007 (UTC).
It's ready. I figure you can start putting that on whatever other portals you want (just see what I've added to the page). Миша13 20:30, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Trivial Entries
I was given a link to "An American Carol" which appears to be a film with no artistic merit that isn't out yet. Furthermore it appears to be a press release.
Under what circumstances is a film too shallow and trivial to be given an entry here? I can envision a situation where everyone's youtube video could be argued to be a valid filmic expression. At the present 9,000 hours of new youtube a day, it's daunting. However I certainly don't think the definition of worthy entry should be limited to studio film. b_calder (talk) 09:16, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
ShortFilms.com
If you have a short films sections within this topic then maybe www.ShortFilms.com could be of interest. This is only a suggestion. Take Care, Sarah x
