"Marcia Shines" was the debut album in Australia as a solo artist for Afro-American singer Marcia Hines. Hines had been resident in Australia since 1970, when she was brought here by Harry M Miller to appear in the Australian production of Hair. "Marcia Shines" first made the Australian charts in October 1975, and peaked at number 4 in January 1976.
