Jeff Moorad

Jeff Moorad is currently the Chief Executive Officer, minority owner and managing partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He is also a co-owner of the Hall of Fame Racing NASCAR team.

For many years, he was a player agent, and representing many baseball and football players. He also had his own firm, Moorad Sports Management.

When he was offered to run the Arizona Diamondbacks before the 2005 season, all Major League Baseball owners had to approve the change. Jeff Moorad had to give up all of the players that he represented in order to make this move. Although Moorad Sports Management still exists, Greg Genske took over the representation of Jeff Moorad's players.

One of the most prominant players managed by Moorad during his tenure as an agent was Manny Ramirez. Moorad and Dan Duquette famously brokered the $160 million deal which brough the enigmatic left-fielder to Boston in December of 2000.
