Plot
J.D. begins to fall for Dr. Kim Briggs, a urologist he shares a patient with, but when Dr. Cox reveals that she's refusing to do a risky surgery to keep her statistics up, he begins to have mixed feelings. Meanwhile, Dr. Kelso decides to trust the Janitor to fetch cash from a deposit at home, which he regrets.
Continuity
- This episode features an in-joke, showing Kim Briggs fixing the Scrubs x-ray title card, saying: "[It's] backwards! It's been bugging me for years!"
- Sarah Lancaster makes a return as Lisa the Gift Shop girl, who is now married.
- When Turk flashes back to previous appearances of Kim, these are actually digitally altered versions of scenes from the following episodes:
- My First Day, where Kim takes the place of a nurse behind J.D. and Carla
- His Story, where Kim is in the elevator while J.D. is singing "Kung Fu Fighting"
- My Screw Up, where Kim takes the seat at the funeral that was originally taken by Carla.
Goofs
- As J.D. thinks over all the times he's ignored Kim, there's a scene from His Story, in which J.D. dances to Kung Fu Fighting in the elevator. As he dances, his hand can be seen through the digitally inserted image of Kim.
Featured music
- "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas (performed by Zach Braff)
