Erik Edman

Erik Edman (born November 11, 1978) is a professional Swedish footballer who plays as a defender. He currently plays for Rennes in the Ligue 1. Before coming to France, Edman played for Helsingborgs in Sweden, SC Heerenveen in the Netherlands and Tottenham Hotspur in England. He joined Rennes on August 31st, 2005, for an undisclosed amount. Edman came to the club with a huge amount of international experience, being featured in the Swedish national team at Template:Ec2 (he was part of the

squad, but did not play). Edman is a very experienced left back for club and country.

The Spurs fans will always remember his stunning goal from 35 yards against Liverpoo on April 16th, 2005.

He wears number 9 jersey for Rennes and number 5 for Sweden.
