Wheeling Central Catholic High School is a parochial, Roman Catholic high school in Wheeling, West Virginia. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.

History

The school dates back to 1853 and the founding of the Saint Joseph Academy for Young Women. The Wheeling Cathedral Boy's School was founded later and was converted into a high school in 1923. The school received its current name in 1924. In 1961, the boys' high school and the girls' academy were combined into one building with common eating facilities, but classes remained segregated. In 1970, the school became a true co-educational institution.
