Reflex (ISBN 9780812578546) is the 2004 sequel to the best-selling novel Jumper by Steven Gould.

Synopsis

Davy, a young man with the ability to teleport instantaneously to any location he can clearly visualize in memory, is now an adult and trying to lead a normal life with his wife Millie. He occasionally works for the National Security Agency, but only accepts jobs that he finds to be morally acceptable. During a meeting with his handler, Davy is kidnapped by a powerful group hoping to use his ability for their own nefarious purposes, and Millie (who has recently discoverd that she, too, has the ability to 'jump') sets out on a quest to rescue him.

Characters

  • Davy Rice - the protagonist, who has the ability to 'jump' instantaneously to any location that he can visualize accurately.
  • Millie Harrison - David's wife, who is a psychologist in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Millie eventually discovers she also has the ability to jump.
