What is up with the section about how "especially infants" are unable to open doorknobs? Unless there is a movement to phase out doorknobs, it almost seems like useless information to say that not everyone uses doorknobs. -Paul Ganssle

Anyone have verifiable info on the history of doorknobs? 24.68.207.114 00:50, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Protection?

Anybody think we should try and protect this page? it's been vandalized quite a bit. Cryo921 01:16, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, compared to other pages which are defaced multiple times a day the vandalism here is infrequent and easily reverted. --NeilN 01:27, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just cleared out some vandalism from here today. Not sure why the roving peanut gallery thought this article was a good candidate for making into a joke about bob saget. Although I would suspect this page isn't viewed (or vandalized) nearly as much as other popular vandal targets, so it probably doesn't need protection. This one looked a little bit like it could have been done by someone who thought they were editing the uncyclopedia instead...

help

I have a friend whose entrance lock jammed so now the part that goes in the hole in the door frame is retracted into the door and he can't remove the because one of the (set-screws. Screws that hold the lock)the head of the screw is stripped and very rusty. What he wants to do is hammer the top part of the lock away from the door and use a hacksaw on the screw would that be a way to get the lock off. 216.211.56.32 18:16, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is something that should be asked at the Wikipedia:Reference Desk. Cryo921 03:37, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Doorhandle merge

There's a merge suggestion but no talk about it. I think that the doorhandle is sufficiently similar to the doorknob to warrant merging them into one topic. TheHYPO (talk) 09:42, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I also removed the entirely unreferenced game section. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 21:12, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
