Moved from article page:

(Is Ray Ferry a pseudonym of Forrest J. Ackerman?)

No. Ray Ferry and Forrest J Ackerman were in 'partnership' during the relaunch of FM in '93.

Ackerman left the magazine in dispute with Mr.Ferry and is no longer associated with the 'new' publication.

-Some strange editing going on here. Someone is trying to delete any/all mention of Forrest J. Ackerman from this article. Every sane person agrees that Ackerman was the heart and soul of FM for two decades. Is this an encyclopedic article about an influential magazine and its famous editor? Or is this a pro-Ray Ferry fan page? (Is Ray Ferry himself making the edits?)HorsePants 21:10, 13 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! That's crazy! Removing Forrest J. Ackerman from FM's history would be like writing an article on "Playboy" sans any mention of Hugh Hefner. I'm glad you reverted the article back to its earlier version, but I still think it had some problems. Specifically, the last paragraph devoted way too much space (I think) to Ackerman's successful libel suit against Ferry, so I've edited it down to about half its former length. I also removed some disparaging comments about the new FM; while arguably true, the comments did not conform to Wikipedia's NPOV policy.Hal Raglan 05:53, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

-Once again this article has been vandalized by the same user (24.158.177.25) who keeps adding deliberately misleading information into the text. Look at this poster's history and you'll see that he/she has a habit of denigrating (or completely removing) Ackerman's role in FM, while at the same time glorifying Ray Ferry as if he's some kind of saint. Incredibly, at one point this same poster requested page protection for his vandalism! One of the previous comments above indicated that it was possibly Ray Ferry himself making these changes. Of course, there's probably no way to prove this claim, but who else would be nutty enough to keep making the same frankly lunatic changes to this article?200.122.158.40 20:32, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The "anonymous" contributor 24.158.177.25 continues to vandalise this article repeatedly. He has even attempted to completely delete the article several times. I will report this abuse to the administrators to see if he can be blocked from further vandalism. (Check out his history...Amusingly, in one of his bizarre "rewrites" of the article, he actually listed Ray Ferry's email address as a POC for information...not so "anonymous" after all, eh?) 200.122.158.40 21:07, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, turns out an administrator has already blocked this vandal, at least temporarily. Looks like somebody else got sick of his shenanigans! 200.122.158.40 21:35, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks to whoever added the link to a page on my website! (I usually only participate in the Milwaukee TV pages here, but was pleasantly surprised to find my site linked from a page here.

issue 200?

This site : " http://www.moviemags.com/main.php?title=FAMOUS%20MONSTERS%20OF%20FILMLAND&etos=1993 " seems to have an issue 200 contrary to the article's assumption of V2 beginning with issue 20199.233.216.31 (talk) 18:44, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
