Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 149 people, 61 households, and 38 families residing in the town. The population density was 173.1 people per square mile (66.9/km²). There were 69 housing units at an average density of 80.2/sq mi (31.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 56.38% White and 43.62% African American.

There were 61 households out of which 9.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.6% were married couples living together, 16.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.7% were non-families. 34.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.24.

In the town the population was spread out with 16.8% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 19.5% from 25 to 44, 32.2% from 45 to 64, and 24.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
