Dates for Ohayocon have been tentatively blocked at the Hyatt Regency Columbus through 2010, although nothing has officially been announced by the convention as for future dates or events.

Ohayocon, in the past, has been known for being a family-friendly event, in that it tries to keep ticket prices low and staff support high. However, after the 2005 event, there was a large number of staff who had disagreements with the owner of Ohayocon, and have decided not to further volunteer for the event. The recent costs of Ohayocon have also risen for the attendee due to the downtown Columbus location, and growing size of the event. Most of the staff still work hard to keep people happy, catering to guests as if they were family, and try to create many fans in the process.
