aim is very safe for kids because the can only interact with people on their chat list and if that person has them on their chat list if you want to add some one to your list just go under invites and put in their user name and it sends that person an invite and they can click yes or no to talk to them. it is very safe i let my child use it and she has been fine with it gor almost two years now.
