Melendi[1] ( Ramón Melendi Paredes was born in 1979, in Oviedo, Asturias (Spain).

As a child, he had a mediocre school career until he was expelled from secondary school while still a teenager. He started playing in the lower ranks of the Real Oviedo football team.

In 2001 he became a member of the band "El Bosque de Sherwood", eventually recording his own demo.

In 2003 he published his first album "Sin noticias de Holanda". In 2004 his song "Con La Luna Llena" was selected as the theme song for the 2004 Cycling Tour.

In 2007 he was arrested after causing an incident on a commercial flight that was travelling from Madrid to Mexico. The plane's pilot was forced to turn back to Madrid Airport two hours after take-off because of Melendi's unruly behaviour. He was under the influence of alcohol at the time(false)
