someone needs to stop deleting the cultural references, they are solid.

um I'm pretty sure that the joke about Hank thinking that they will meet their long lost sister Dawn is a reference to the ep "Love Beihts" where Baron Underbeit thinks that Dean is a girl named Dawn, and Hank assumes that Doc was hiding a long lost sister from him, not a BtVS reference. -Maggie <3 66.186.99.197 (talk) 03:49, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some references are meant by the show's writer's to be recognized by everyone - such as The Cleaner's resemblence to Mr. Clean, and the use of "March of the Toys" to mimic March of the Wooden Soldiers. Is it really necessary to source these? ShawnVW (talk) 20:20, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I don't really have a dog in this race, but I say the link on AMiB's talk page and I took a look at the article. My feeling is that the OR and verifiability guidelines prevent us from mentioning a lot of pretty obvious references. However, they also prevent us from making a lot of not so obvious inferences about other stuff, like history, politicians, etc. We don't need to follow the same rule all the time just for the sake of following it, but we should generally look to those guidelines when we are making these kinds of articles. that makes writing these articles a little less fun in some ways, and I respect that. But the net effect is that it makes wikipedia a more effective resource for all of our readers. That's my speech. :) Protonk (talk) 23:31, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is Hank's calling Molotov a "hoodrat" despite his love for her in Assassinanny 911 worth mentioning as a connection? I thought it was, but I had trouble figuring out how to write it. Also, the episode summary was much too detailed. I tried to put it back the way it was, but if someone has the original, they should put it in.
