About The Author

This user is just a simple German doing some silly things on this august Wikipedia. Besides working on Wikipedia, he's currently a student of Mathematics at the University of Cologne, striving to go into the direction of cryptography in the course of the studies. Yet currently, his abilities at cryptography are next to non-existant, so one is best to avoid any inquiries on said topic.

Regarding the user's language talent, he was born and raised with the German language, which he speaks in a level that can reach anal-retentiveness. Due to that, the user is occasionally called a grammar nazi or similar names, since he has a knack for correcting people at the absolutely wrong time, even when harbouring good intentions. Another language he almost grew up with was English. In the course of his youth (starting, paradoxically, by just staring at the cartoons running on Cartoon Network with no understanding whatsoever when said station started broadcasting publically on the Astra satellite), the user started to learn the English language quite well due to constant confrontation in the area of computers and similar, and is now quite fond of his ability to speak the language.

The user theoretically speaks a couple of other languages: he had a certain education into French language, having taken two years of school lessons on that language, and concluded that the language was designed for people with a more anarchistic head than his[1]. Having been one of the wiser students of a German gymnasium, he also took classes in the Latin language, which serve as a good basis of understanding and deducting words in the whole area of European languages. Besides the languages he already knows, the user has an interest in learning many more languages, for no particular reason beside liking to speak languages. Among the list of languages he wishes to learn, Japanese and Finnish rank the two most important. In his personal utopia, he'd wish for attaining a level comparable to being a native (ja-4, fi-4).

Debian GNU/Linux is this user's operating system of choice. Due to the certain necessities, he also has an installation of Windows XP, which is mostly used for the purpose of computer gaming. For the sake of keeping record, this user mostly plays first-person shooters and computer role-playing games. He is using Debian since sometime around the year of 2000, and has been mostly content with it ever since. He keeps a rather tiny (when compared to more serious geeks) farm of eight computers (plus unassembled) in his parental household. Additionally, he is somewhat skilled in programming, and, given some time, could hack more advanced programs together using Perl or C++

Other areas this user shows a certain interesting in include anime, fiction, martial arts and photography. Occasionally, he also indulges topics on mythology or particular countries' culture.

As bishonen pointed out, the most appropriate description of this users behaviour is that of a WikiGnome.
