beautiful?

I haven't finished reading yet, but till now Forks is only described with a lot of negative adjectives in the novel Twilight. Maybe this should be corrected? --84.178.76.163 22:25, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually it is described as beautiful.... but as too green. if anybody has any contreversy with this, then read the book 4 times, and you might actually know something about this book. I know how Forks is described, and its not all bad!

(UTC)

I agree, Twilight is one of my favorite books, scratch that, my all-time favorite book, and it is described as "too green" but later on in the book, the image is changed, and it is looked at differently. I have researched Forks on and off ever since I first read Twilight, and I once again agree, Twilight is a very beautiful place, not bad at all, just as long as you like a little rain!

-Chelsea in NC (though hope 2 be a resident of Forks just as soon as i finish high school!) : )

Good luck reading, and hope you like that wonderful book! (which I've read atleast 4 times. I finally had to buy it when the local library wouldn't let me check it out anymore, telling me that if I thought is such a good book, then wouldn't other people like to read it too? Happy reading, hope you enjoy)

Events/Things To Do

The Wiki is noting that this portion of the page needs to be better. I tried making some edits and additions, but need to spend more time with this portion of the page. RodFleck 17:41, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We get it, Twilight takes place here

We don't need to mention the book every other sentence. 76.180.220.134 (talk) 10:05, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For many years, the city's economy was fueled by the local timber industry. With recent declines in the industry, however, Forks has had to rely on the nearby Clallam Bay Correctional Center and Olympic Corrections Center as a source of jobs. Forks is a popular destination for sport fishers who fish for salmon and rainbow trout in nearby rivers. It is also supported by visitors to Olympic National Park. Forks is the primary setting for the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. Stephanie Meyer herself did not visit the town while writing the books.[citation needed]

Citation is not needed here. I direct you to here, where it gives you citation right there. Kalga (talk) 00:27, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
