TECO

TECO may be:

  • A generic word used by professional builders for joist hangers, after the TECO company of Chevy Chase, Maryland and its products: metal clips that eliminate the need for costly mortise and tenon joinery when hanging wood joists. The company originated the product and operated from about 1933 until their liquidation by USP in 1995.
