Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (SBMC), situated in Barisal, Bangladesh, is the largest medical college of Bangladesh. It was established in 1969. It was named for A. K. Fazlul Huq, known by his nickname of as Sher-e-Bangla - Bengal Tiger, a leading Bengali statesman and former prime minister of Pakistan in the first half of the 20th century, who practiced law in Barisal.

About 180 students are admitted here every year. There are three hostels for male students and two for the female students. Both male and female intern doctors have each one hostel. The campus area is the largest among all the medical college campuses of Bangladesh. It has a very large playground and a large pond. The Sher-e-Bangla Medical College hospital, which is confined within the college, serves more than 2000 patients each term, though its nominal capacity is for just 1200 patients.

SBMC runs under the curriculum of University of Dhaka, and became the number 5 medical college of Bangladesh after its recent results.[citation needed]
