The story is still hidden but initial announcements tell that it will be a battle that will be held at a galactic level. The tag line up till now is "When kings collide, the galaxy will tremble". The event will start with the lead-in mini-series X-Men: Kingbreaker, which revolves around Vulcan and the Starjammers following the conclusion of the mini-series Emperor Vulcan,[3] and the Guardians of the Galaxy, which revolves around after the conclusion of their Secret Invasion tie-in, stating that Blastaar has become the new King of the Negative Zone, all will start in December 2008, and during November, the Inhumans's story in War of Kings will be planted at the end of their Secret Invasion tie-in.[4] [5] [6]

Plot

Prequel- Secret Invasion: War of Kings

Tired of being rejected by humans, the Inhumans decide to leave Earth. Blackbolt unlocks the weapon room he sealed years ago, and in the process reveals the Inhuman city is a spaceship. They set out for Kree space, and encounter along the way a Skrull fleet fleeing Earth after the events of the Secret Invasion. While attacking them, they cross over into Shi'ar space and destroy some Shi'ar crafts. When they reach Hala, still weak from the events of Annihilation: Conquest, Blackbolt reveals that he has come to accept his destiny as Kree ruler (the Inhumans were the product of Kree experiments on ordinary humans to create perfect living weapons). Ronan the Accuser, acting Kree ruler, admits that he never felt like anything but a temporary placeholder for a true ruler to rise and bows to Blackbolt. In the epilogue, Shi'ar leader Vulcan is told about the violation of his territory and declares this is an invitation to war. [7]
