The Old Prince is the second album by Canadian rapper Shad, released in 2007 on Black Box Recordings.

Singles

The track "The Old Prince Still Lives at Home" reached #1 on CBC Radio 3's R3-30 chart for two weeks, on February 28 and March 6, 2008.

Videos have been made for three tracks from the album, "I Don't Like To", "Brother (Watching)" and "The Old Prince Still Lives At Home". The video for "The Old Prince Still Lives at Home" is a spoof of the opening credits to the television series The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, with Shad playing the role of Will Smith.

Award nominations

The album was nominated for Rap Recording of the Year at the 2008 Juno Awards, but lost to Belly's The Revolution.

The album was nominated for the 2008 Polaris Music Prize.[1]
