Katghora is a town and a nagar panchayat in Korba district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.
Geography
Katghora is located at 22°30′N 82°33′E / 22.5°N 82.55°E[1]. It has an average elevation of 312 metres (1023 feet). Katghora is a very good place.
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census[2], Katghora had a population of 18,534. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Katghora has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 52%. In Katghora, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
