Message from arcanedude91

Well, I am sorry that you don't feel that all the vandalism I correctly reverted counts enough against a few mistakes. Did I catch them on my own? no, but I corrected them as soon as somebody brought them to my attention. I realize that this is not an acceptable method for editing (i.e. relying on others to point out your mistakes) but I am learning the fastest I can with the tools I have (had) available. Sorry for putting you through the trouble, and I hope you have better luck with the thousands of others who work on reverting.--Arcanedude91 (talk) 22:36, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of User:Secret

It was purportedly the userpage of Secret, somebody who has had his own userpage deleted at his own request; but it was created by another account, not by Secret. The content, in turn, was incoherent and incomprehensible outside of whatever context it was ripped from. --Orange Mike | Talk 01:33, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. — Aitias // discussion 19:47, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Psychostats

My request for Psychostats being restored is no longer here, and is not in the archive, so I do not know if I was responded to. Psychostats is software for parsing half life and source game logs, much like HLstats, which I see is also up for deletion. How is this any different than say...VNC which has plenty of articles on here. Both are free, open source software. 24.58.108.62 (talk) 19:14, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have already replied here. — Aitias // discussion 19:50, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey!! (Message)

Why did you delete OnePL? I posted an interpreter! (it might have been removed though) Noname4Million (talk) 22:39, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There was a blatantly clear consensus for deletion in the relevant deletion debate. — Aitias // discussion 03:46, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for granting me rollback.--Dougofborg (talk) 00:35, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. :) — Aitias // discussion 00:49, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock (edit conflict), but not really... :)

Not sure how I did that without noticing. Thanks for catching it. :) Protonk (talk) 03:42, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem at all. :) Best wishes, — Aitias // discussion 03:45, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Protection level changed

Hello. Just wanted to let you know that I changed your full-protection on User talk:MBisanz/Archive 7 to semi-protection. Since that archive is Matt's "current" archive, MiszaBot III would not otherwise be able to archive additional discussions. If you feel my change was in error, please feel free to adjust the protection settings. --Kralizec! (talk) 21:45, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for correcting that and for leaving this message, Kralizec! :) — Aitias // discussion 19:53, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Block by YellowMonkey

Hi, could you check this discussion and give me your opinion? I have the impression that this block violated the blocking policies, especially "The purpose of blocking is prevention [...]": my edits were not disruptive (I can explain them if you want), but even if they were, my last edit before the block was this (10:11 2 February), then I left wikipedia for a few days, and then I was blocked (00:50 3 February). I didn't even notice I was blocked, I just found the message on my watchlist when I came back (and not immediately). As a side note, from 1 to 2 February I made only 18 edits on 15 different pages (some of them are talk pages).--Supparluca 08:20, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Antwort

Hallo Aitias!

Falls du es noch nicht gesehen haben solltest, möchte ich dich auf meine Antwort hinweisen. Grüße, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:52, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the hint. Unfortunately I wasn't able to reply to this earlier and the elections are closed now already. Therefore, reconsidering would not make sense now. Sorry. — Aitias // discussion 19:57, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Phil Vinall

Could you re-instate the Phil Vinall page please. I would like to add some content regarding his influence on british independent music scene during the 1990s. I have tried to find out why this page was deleted but have had no luck - i'm new to contributing to articles and am still learning my way around. Thank you. (Lugosi73)

Done. Please voice your opinion here. — Aitias // discussion 20:03, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Hi Aitias, thanks a lot for your assistance on my talk page. I have a question for you. I really feel YellowMonkey was completely incorrect in banning me for one week, and I feel he should answer for that. I just want to ask you if you think it is worth me putting in a request for administrative review, or just forget about it? What I think happened is he glanced over the AN/I page quickly, didn't understand what was going on, banned someone for a week, and then didn't want to admit what he did was wrong. *sigh* thanks. Icsunonove (talk) 04:54, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's up to you really. If you feel treated unfairly it's most probably the best to talk to YellowMonkey straight away at their talk page. If this doesn't help you may take other action you deem appropriate, such as asking for a review at WP:AN. Hope that helps. — Aitias // discussion 20:08, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The jumper did deserve a funny closure

There has to be something you can put there that is funny! Fiddle Faddle (talk) 01:07, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um, sorry? What exactly do you want to tell me? I'm afraid that I do not understand... — Aitias // discussion 01:11, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So I see. Ok. The article's existence was funny. The deletion discussion had humour in it. So I would have expected a humorous summary at closure. Ah well. Perhaps Wikipedia is serious after all. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 09:23, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Aitias, I'm assuming he's referring to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Runnymede Yellow Jumper. Fiddle Faddle, I'm guessing he'd have understood better if you'd actually linked it - Aitias closes lots of AfDs. :) ~ mazca t|c 23:36, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you (once again!) for your helpful comment, Mazca. :) And yes, providing a link would have been a great idea indeed, Fiddle Faddle. :) — Aitias // discussion 20:11, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Closure of deletion discussion for Geek Housecalls

Hi Aitias

I was surprised by the closure of this deletion discussion. The only editor (other than one hopelessly conflicted) who opined that the article should be kept did not give any reasons relating to WP policy or guidelines. On the other hand, the nominator (me) and three others who opined that the article should be deleted or merged all did so. How did you conclude "no consensus" based on this?

Bongomatic 02:13, 15 February 2009 (UTC) Feel free to reply here—I'll watch.[reply]

Well, reconsidering all points I think you're right. There is sufficient consensus for deletion. I have acted accordingly ([1], [2]). Regards, — Aitias // discussion 22:30, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciate your taking a second look. Bongomatic 23:03, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Your message is appreciated as well. :) — Aitias // discussion 20:13, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User MastCell

Hi, I was just about to respond to the threat of violence, but didn't know exactly what to do. Could you restore the rest of the talk page and draw the threat of violence to the attention of someone appropriate, please? It looks like an automated (but nasty) prank but such things should be taken seriously. JQ (talk) 22:58, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's already dealt with here. Regards, — Aitias // discussion 23:05, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

==Chris Rogers (actor) deletion==

Hello Aitias!

I was just informed by someone who wanted to edit the Wiki page on myself that it is no longer existant. What a real shame! I have read through your conditions of having a page on Wikipedia and I ensure you that I am not a business advertising.

I am a sole artist, have recorded several albums and have been in many theatrical productions of which I've written a few myself. I produce and direct film and have worked with international names though not quite as successful as for example my friend Xavier Naidoo. Could I ask you to reinstate the page?

I do realise that www.bethemoviestar.com was listed and they have recently gone bankrupt. That however is no fault of mine and just needs to be rewritten.

Thank you for your time!

Chris
