Maulana Syed Kalbe Hussain Naqvi (مولانا سيد قلب حسين نقوى) nicknamed "Kabban" was a mujtahid from Lucknow, India who preached Twelver Shi'a Islam and came from a family of scholars known as "Khandaan-e-Ijtehad", notably Syed Dildar Ali, also known as Ghufran Ma'ab. His father was Maulana Syed Aqa Hasan. Origenally Kalbe Gharana is from Jais, a prominent Qusba of UP.

The word Kalb means Dog so his name "Kalbe Hussain" means Dog of Hussain, Imam Hussain being the grandson of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam. This is is not to be confused with "Qalb" meaning "heart".

He was a prominent cleric, and was chief of the Shia scholars on the South Asia during his time.

His sons include (late) Maulana Syed Kalbe Abid (also mujtahid) and Maulana Syed Kalbe Sadiq. His grandson, Syed Kalbe Jawad (son of Syed Kalbe Abid) is also a scholar and a popular leader of the Shia population in Lucknow, India.Arif Naqi Naqvi s/o Naqi Haider Naqvi of "Khandaan-e-Ijtehad", notably Syed Dildar Ali Ghufran Ma'ab from very respectable & prominent Qusba Nasirabad of UP, Raebareli
