Krommenie (52°30′N 4°46′E / 52.500°N 4.767°E / 52.500; 4.767) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Zaanstad, and lies about 15 km northeast of Haarlem.

Krommenie was a separate municipality until 1974, when the new municipality of Zaanstad was created.[1]

The statistical district "Krommenie", which covers the village and the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 17,330.[2]

Train Services

The town is served by Krommenie-Assendelft railway station. From here there are 4 trains an hour to Amsterdam, with a journey time of 25 minutes.
