In the field of human sexual behavior, facesitting, also known as queening, is a sex act in which a woman sits on or over a person's face, typically to allow oral-genital or oral-anal contact. It is common for a domme to subject a submissive to this position, though this need not be the case.

Facesitting is very popular among dominant women and submissive men, as a form of demonstrating superiority, but it is also practiced by vanilla couples, who use this highly-enjoyable position for woman-superior cunnilingus (with the woman kneeling over the man, and actually 'sat' on his upper chest rather than face).

The difference between facesitting and the similar practice of smothering, is that the submissive partner is deprived of air while being smothered, while facesitting does not involve oxygen deprivation.

The person sat upon may be in bondage, sexually submissive and therefore compliant, or simply held down by the weight of the other person. Sometimes special furniture is used, such as a queening stool. They are, in any case, usually immobilised, leaving a good deal of body free for the dominant partner.

Popular amongst FA's (fat admirers) and heavyset women, this practice is reportedly satisfying for both partners.

Facesitting is a common theme in the works of Japanese fetish artist Namio Harukawa.
