This Is Alphabeat is the debut album by Danish band Alphabeat. The album was set to be a self-titled album, but the plans were scrapped. The album was released first in Denmark on March 7, 2007. It was released in Europe later that year and in 2008 in the United Kingdom.
Reception
Critical reception of the album ranged from positive to outstanding. UK newspaper The Observer gave the album a 5/5.

The album tracklisting is different in selected areas. The album's tracklisting in Denmark has the original track listing, but on the European edition some songs are remixed and it also has several songs that weren't released on the Denmark edition of the album.

Singles
- "Fantastic 6" was released as a limited edition 10" in the UK only, prior to the release of "Fascination", the video for "Fantastic 6" did not surface in the UK but was ironically released in Denmark (even thought the single was not released there).
- "Fascination" was the second single released off the album (first official single), charted at number six in the UK Singles Chart, number seven in the UK Download Chart and number four in Danish Singles Chart.
- "10.000 Nights of Thunder" was the third single released off the album (second official single), it charted at 16 in both the UK and Denmark, it also charted at 24 in the Netherlands, this single did not prove as much populairity as "Fascination".
- "Boyfriend" was the fourth single released off the album (third official single), it charted at 15 in the UK, 11 in Denmark, 18 in the Netherlands and 49 in Ireland, showing more popularity than "10.000 Nights" but not as much as "Fascination".
- "Go Go" was the fifth single released off the album (fourth official single), it was only released in Denmark, it was due for release in the UK after their sixth single but won't due to them being dropped by their label, it charted at 14 in Denmark.
- "What Is Happening" was the sixth single released off the album (fifth official single), it was only released in the UK, it charted at 110 in the UK, showing that this is their least popular song, it was due for release in Denmark on December 22 2008, but has been delayed due to it being so unsuccessful, a new release date has not been announced yet, also because of the songs peak position the band dropped their UK record label and the band have a new record deal with Polydor.
