CrashPlan is automatic backup software that allows Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris users to back up their data to an offsite data center, [1] computers belonging to friends and family, [2] as well as to attached drives / shared folders [3]. Designed for end users, there is a free version (for personal use) and CrashPlan+ which is for both personal and business use. Both versions allow users to back up data automatically. Crashplan uses 448-bit Blowfish encryption security, requiring only an Internet connection to allow users to backup and restore their files.
