MAIN DISH

Hi, why you keep deleting my page? You say "No indication that the article may meet guidelines for inclusion", but I don't know what you mean by that! Please explain me what to do! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ar-de-rocker (talkcontribs)

Hi there. I only deleted it once! The article has been deleted becuase there is no indication that it may meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines and more specifically the notability guidelines for music. Kind regards, Nancy talk 16:36, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I made the page yesterday, and when I came today it was deleted, I don't know if it was you, but now I saw your name there and asked. But I still don't know what to add to the page, I'm portuguese, so I'm not understanding what you mean by that... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ar-de-rocker (talkcontribs)
Sorry I did not realise that English is not your first language - I will try and keep it simple. If you look on the page WP:MUSIC you will find the list of things which a band needs to have done in order to be allowed a Wikipedia page. Unless you can show that Main Dish have done these things, the article will be deleted. Hope this helps, kind regards, Nancy talk 16:44, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see... But I don't agree with this, so any musical artist that isn't recognized in the major scene doesn't have the right to have an article in wikipedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ar-de-rocker (talkcontribs) 16:50, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that's right. Wikipedia is only for bands who have "made it". Nancy talk 16:54, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ar-de-rocker (talkcontribs) 16:56, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I have one more question, even the fact that the band only release their albums via online, for free download in the website Jamendo that is one of the most important websites of today, that doesn't make the band deserving a place in wikipedia? Well, some bands are now releasing online albums and maybe they don't want to go to majors or indie labels... maybe they want to stay independent... like Nine Inch Nails or Radiohead... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ar-de-rocker (talkcontribs) 17:01, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That is the case at the moment but that is not to say that the policy won't change in the future. Nancy talk 17:03, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks again.Ar-de-rocker (talk) 17:05, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Patricia Cloherty page

Dear Nancy,

You have blocked me from editing page with information about Patricia Cloherty. The reason was “edit war”.

Patricia’s profile as it appears at WIkipedia right now has numerous errors, namely:

1. Patricia M. Cloherty (born 1942) is a venture capitalist, and was the Chairman & CEO of Delta Private Equity Partners. – Patricia Cloherty is Chairman and CEO of Delta Private Equity Partners as you can see from the company’s website (http://dpep.com/eng/who-we-are/team/index.wbp?team.root-node-id=982a0bf0-8e22-4bf7-8658-bb767b6d2edd)

2. DPEP manages not only The U.S. Russia Investment Fund but also Delta Russia Fund. Same website.

Thank you in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilu123 (talkcontribs) 14:25, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
