How does speedy deletion work?

{{adminhelp}} When I signed up and created an account for Wikipedia, it said, don't use your personal name, so I used my company name. I did not intend to be self promotional. You have listings for the New Living Bible, why not a listing for a New Living Magazine? My content is worthy of perusal. I am not trying to sell anything since the publication is freely distributed. What do I need to do in order not to get deleted? Thanks for your help --Newlivingmagazine (talk) 22:15, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm changing the tag to {{adminhelp}}.--Cubs197 (talk) 22:31, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article has already been deleted, with the reason, "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". The policy that we have all decided about that sort of thing is in WP:CSD.
Please read the above notice, which explains why your account has been blocked, and what action you can take to resolve this.  Chzz  ►  22:37, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am truly sorry I didn't meet your requirements and the self-promotion wasn't intentional. It was meant to be informational. You list other publications in your search terms. Was it that I did not follow your formatting guidelines? Also, since you blocked my IP address which is kind of a drastic punishment, how am I supposed to correct the error so I can get myself properly listed like the other publications in your encyclopedia??

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Newlivingmagazine (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

PS, I just read your WP:CSD and tried to send an email to: unblock-en-llists.wikimedia.org explaining that I wanted to fix the problem I created and the email is invalid. Maybe you can tell me what other steps I can take so I can correct the problem? It's a little hard when you block my IP address. I'd like to create a new non self-promotional user ID so I can list my article properly. Also, many of the other publications listed do not have verifiable information, meaning they have links that lead to nowhere, nothing backing them up.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=PS, I just read your [[WP:CSD]] and tried to send an email to: unblock-en-llists.wikimedia.org explaining that I wanted to fix the problem I created and the email is invalid. I'd like to create a new non self-promotional user ID so I can list my article properly. Also, many of the other publications listed do not have verifiable information, meaning they have links that lead to nowhere, nothing backing them up. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

PS is there any reason why the initial administrator who blocked my account blocked me "indefinitely?" I read that the initial administrator can stick with this decision indefinitely? What recourse is there then to correct my mistake? Newlivingmagazine (talk) 01:02, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why you suggest I contact User:Juliancolton to appeal to this person to have my indefinite block removed when I can't even reach them. Apparently, they blocked me from contacting them to appeal my indefinite block. Kind of harsh, don't you think? How do I get resolution on this Newlivingmagazine (talk) 01:08, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
