Chickenfoot is the debut self-titled album by American hard rock supergroup Chickenfoot, set to be released by on June 5, 2009 in Europe and June 5, 2009, in the US. The album is planned to be packaged with exclusive "heat sensitive" artwork.
On March 20, 2009, the band released two songs, "Soap on a Rope" and "Down the Drain" on their official website. The band's first single, "Oh Yeah", was released to radio stations nationwide, as well as on their official website, on April 13, 2009.
The band was featured in the June 2009 issue of Guitar World as a cover story. They discussed the recording of their self-titled debut album.[1]
Joe Satriani revealed many details about the album and the band on a live radio interview at 107.7 The Bone on April 15, 2009. Satriani mentioned recording the album at Skywalker Sound Studios in Marin County.
