John David California (born April 1st, 1976) is an American/Swedish novelist and author of the novel 60 Years Later: Coming Through the Rye, a purported sequel to The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger. 60 Years Later is the story of teenage icon and antihero Holden Caulfield as a 76 year old man[1]. All while refraining from sexual intercourse. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090601/entertainment/books_jd_salinger_lawsuit
Salinger is currently suing the author of 60 Years Later, and he is trying to prevent the U.S. release of the book[2].
