Valerio Scanu (born 10 April 1990 in La Maddalena, Italy) is an Italian singer.
In 2008 Valerio took part to the 8th edition of the Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, in which he came second.
Career
In January 2009 SonyBMG Italy released "Scialla", a compilation with the songs of the contestants of Amici di Maria De Filippi, in the album there are two songs by Scanu: "Can't Stop" and "Domani".The album reached the number one on the Italian albums chart. His first studio album-ep Sentimento was released on April 10, 2009 in Italy and digitally in Europe, It sold 40,000 units in its first week, and was certified gold in Italy and the song Sentimento reached number one on the Italian Singles Chart. On May 2009 was filmed the music video for the second single Dopo di Me.
