Staffan Kronwall (born September 10, 1983 in Järfälla, Sweden) is a professional ice hockey defenceman for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League. He is the younger brother of Detroit Red Wings defender Niklas Kronwall.

Playing career

Kronwall was drafted in the 9th round, 285th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. The Washington Capitals claimed him off re-entry waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 6th, 2009.[1]

Kronwall represented his country at the 2002 World Junior Championship and collected 0 points and 4 penalty minutes in 7 games for Sweden.
