Hi there T'Shael. You said you'd be willing to help with this, so I thought I should let you now that I've now set up the archive (it is located at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Autoreviewer/Archive). Very easy to add new reports, just add them to the bottom of the list, creating a new month section when appropriate. Also, try and make sure that the requests are in the right order, because often (on WP:NPWatcher requests anyway) users will add their requests to the top of the list rather than the bottom. But it's not a massive problem if you miss that (just don't archive any unresolved requests). Cheers - Kingpin13 (talk)
Ah, cool. Is it alright to archive requests as soon as they are marked Done or Not done, or is there some sort of time frame that we're shooting for? Cheers, T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 18:17, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I personally think there should always be at least some requests left on the page (it helps users making new requests see what to do). Also, I don't think we should archive them one-by-one, it's probably a better idea to do it in batches. Sometimes users aren't notified on their talk pages, so it helps them to see when they are approved. So, don't archive straight away, and preferably don't archive requests which have just passed. Otherwise, whenever you wanna :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 18:23, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Naw, don't feel bad. The burden lies with the editor who is "vandalizing" a userpage to explain in the edit summary that they are doing so at the behest of the user. (In fact, IMHO, EVERY edit should have SOME sort of edit summary, even a cursory one.) Vicenarian(T · C)23:15, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I do not, as I haven't spent any time over there. I've been using soft redirects to my user pages here on the other WM projects that I do participate in, because A) I'm lazy and B) I spend most of my time here. Why? Vicenarian(T · C)23:31, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See, I have an irrepressible tendency to use overcomplicated verbiage that would be exceptionally inappropriate for Simple English. :) BTW, that's one MEAN vandal. Vicenarian(T · C)23:38, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(outdent) Your talk page. Some vigorous anti-Chicago, anti-Illinois sentiment from that one. Indefinitely blocked now, of course. Vicenarian(T · C)23:43, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay. Yeah, I agree. The vandals are out in full force today. It makes for an interesting day on the 'pedia, though. :) Why don't you fire up Huggle and help us out? -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 23:45, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I will, as soon as I get home - still at work, and my work computer is not Huggle-friendly. I've done some old-school, manual RC patrolling from here. It's easier with the help of Popups and Twinkle, and if you look at only those edits from IPs, but it's still a pain. Vicenarian(T · C)23:52, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
PC rules! :) I had some IRC-related trouble with the new version of Huggle before I went on my break, which I hope was a temporary glitch. (PS: When doing manual patrol, filtering out logged-in users means you miss vandalism-only accounts like the one that was just bothering you. But since most vandalism comes from IPs, it's a good strategy for focusing on edits most likely to be suspect.) Vicenarian(T · C)23:57, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I absolutely loathe PCs. Mainly because my signature looks like sin on them. ;) The IRC problems with Huggle seem to be fixed, though, as I haven't had any trouble with them. When I'm on my Mac I usually sit in on the counter vandalism unit's IRC channel as edits that could possibly be vandalism are reported there. Though, you get a lot of edits that are not, so you have to mainly keep an eye on IPs. Manual patrolling sucks. ;) -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 23:59, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and if you don't see the link, the user probably has email disabled. You can also try typing "Special:EmailUser/USERNAME" in the search box and hit GO. If you get an error, than the user has email disabled. Vicenarian(T · C)23:49, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
lol. "I filed a report against you at the admin's noticeboard for edit warring." "I've done nothing wrong, thank you"' "Wrong. Blocked for 24 hours". ;) -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 04:27, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I had a somewhat similar experience the other day with an IP address. Though I made a mistake and warned him for tagging a page for deletion he was rather persnickety with me and ending up getting blocked later for edit warring. Made me feel somewhat better..;) -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 04:48, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm.. I'm not really sure. I wouldn't think so, as that user has 20 or so edits attributed to them, however I honestly don't know. The only thing that I can think to do would be to put in a request at WP:CHUU and then if you are renamed, put in another request to go back to Allstarecho. Then, since you'll have control of both accounts, make user:Ase a redirect. -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 18:19, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This my be kind of random, but what is it called, a circle with a line through it? It's ironic that some of the most common things are the essiest to forget. I hope this is not a bother, Abce2|Free LemonadeOnly 25 cents!20:41, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Slashed zero, or could mean diameter: large O with slash for outer, small O with slash for inner. Or characters commonly used in Nordic languages, such as.... the ones in Scandinavia. Or what T'Shael said. Sorry, shouldn't have bothered after 2 edit conflicts! – B.hotep •talk• 20:47, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
When you make personal attacks against another editor, that makes it my concern. Please also be aware that removing a warning off of your talk page is an acknowledgment of having read it. You may also want to work on your civility-T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 22:00, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I must agree with you. As soon as the unblock is denied and he is locked out of his talkpage, I'm sure an admin (I'll bug PMDrive if he comes online) will replace everything with just the block template. -T'Shael,The Infernal Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 00:42, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You may also not be aware that I reverted three attacks against Closedmouth before the user attacked me (I gave them a final warning which was then removed). Thanks for reverting that BTW :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 00:47, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. :) Hmm, I didn't notice that, seems this user has a problem with being told that he is wrong. I'm ready for school to start back up so the kiddies will have something better to do that dick around on Wikipedia. -T'Shael,The Infernal Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 00:52, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that Vicenarian was correct and we should just WP:DENY. Eventually an admin will notice his unblock request, most likely deny it, and then lock him out of his talk page when he starts to tirade. -T'Shael,The Infernal Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 00:52, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, denying is the best thing to do know, the user has voiced their opinion, we ours, and we'll wait for someone to review the unblock request. Hey, pinch punch first of the month ;) (just gone midnight here)... isn't it going to be annoying to have to start giving warnings different header names ("July" rather than "June")... That always gets to me ;) - Kingpin13 (talk) 00:56, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think my post was in vain, I think my soft-spoken words hit him. See his reply:(:I really appreciate what you said. You're right. I shouldn't have such a hot temper. However, do you see where I am coming from? No one gives anyone the time of day to explain anything. That's just wrong. There should be something said for compassion. However, I see where I am in the wrong. In the future, I will dispute things with a much more civil tone. Scarletspeedster7 (talk) 00:55, 1 July 2009 (UTC)))--what do you think?SchnitzelMannGreek. 01:05, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Things were explained to him very clearly by Closedmouth, and he responded with this, and I much worse attack made on his page (which has now been deleted). - Kingpin13 (talk) 01:10, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
But I gave him "wise words of wisdom" and he seemed to grasp it(see his talk page)It was as if he was a different person. Let us assume good waith here and give him a last chance. He seems sincere and willing to edit constructively.I shall be a mentor to him and make sure he doesn't revert back to his old waysSchnitzelMannGreek. 01:15, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Marone, what a mouthful! :) When my grandson was born last year, I was joking about having him refer to me as "King Leopold the First" as opposed to "Grandpa" as he grew older. This would be fine if my name was actually Leopold to begin with. In any event, thanks much for the assist on that user's concern. Oh, and I'm going to drop you an e-mail to tell you of some of the wondrous Star Trek goodies my brother has collected of late. Gotta stare at the backs of my eyelid for a few hours first, starting right about...zzzzzzzzz...--PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:01, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the userpage revert. I had J.Delanoy semi it, because it's annoying when your own user page keeps popping to the top of your Huggle queue. Vicenarian(T · C)18:12, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(ec) My roommate is a rabid hockey fan, so I'm surprised he hasn't... oh yes, he HAS Twittered about it. In any case, that was brutal. Vicenarian(T · C)20:02, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It was pretty impressive. Don't articles that are about to be "in the news" so to speak, usually get preemptive protection? -t'shaelchat20:04, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Protection isn't usually used in a preemptive manner, only in response to actual vandalism. But if something is in the news and is a target because of that, the guidelines suggest protecting for the as long as the target is "in the public eye." Also, thanks for the user page edit, cleans it up rather nicely. :-) Vicenarian(T · C)20:08, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In the eyes of some, sure. :) And see, that's why I "opted-in" to SineBot, even though I'm an "established user." TILDETILDETILDETILDE Vicenarian(T · C)20:14, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You can only opt-in or out for yourself, I think. I'm pretty sure SineBot will sign any talk comment on any talk page (and non-talk auto-signed pages) if you use the {YesAutosign} flag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vicenarian (talk • contribs) 20:18, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello T'Shael, I recently made the page for Derrick Pitts, and you tagged it believing that it was an autobiography. This is certainly understandable given that we coincidentally share the same name. HOWEVER, we are different people. I am Derrick Pitts, a teenage college student from Texas. I apologize for the confusion and thanks for the warm welcome, regardless. DePitts (talk) 23:45, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah no problem. I had just seen that kind of thing around before and decided to make my own variation. Didn't realize that is was decided against them. Thanks for the note!--Gordonrox24 | Talk00:59, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thought I'd drop in and say hello. By the way, here's my funny revert for the day--[2]. Had it not been vandalism, it would deserve a barnstar of good humor to that user:D. Where do they come up with this stuff?SchnitzelMannGreek. 02:33, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, well I'm already watching two articles I've nominated for deletion, so I'll let you have the fun this time if you want. :) -WarthogDemon03:56, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The problem with that is that there are other banknotes of romania printed in 2000. This one was actually prited up till 2004. But the article is about one single denomination and one specific note....the only Romanian banknote with the denomination of 2000 and that kind.Thi banknote was a novelty in Romania at that time. But 2000 (year) banknotes include more--SchnitzelMannGreek. 21:06, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You said it was dealing with a year, but the article isn't. The reason its denomination is 2,000 is because the eclipse was the last of the millinneium and close to 2000. But there are other banknotes in the year 2000. This one actually deals with the eclipse.SchnitzelMannGreek. 21:11, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(outdent)Thank You very much for the kind reply, May I bug you one last time? What do you think of this Zia (New Mexico). I didn't create this but pretty much wrote the whole thing(except the section called Zia Sun Symbol)This was a stub that I expanded for WikiProject New Mexico and wasa wondering how it is now.SchnitzelMannGreek. 01:58, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Re:Finger Template
Okay shael, I'll change it, just don't delete the page for a moment, i'll modify it so it has
nothing to do with wikihate :)
