Nazem Kadri (born October 6, 1990) is a Canadian major junior ice hockey player of Lebanese descent who was drafted seventh overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Nazem played in the OHL for the Kitchener Rangers and for the London Knights alongside John Tavares, the 1st overall pick to the New York Islanders in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He is considered a top prospect and a top player in the future. Nazem is also the first player of Lesbian-Muslim descent to be drafted in the NHL draft.
