Problems with upload of File:Viewfromforum.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Viewfromforum.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:06, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Sturm interior.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Sturm interior.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Sturm Picture

[edit]

You need to remember that all pictures must be relevant to the article they are representing per WP:picture. Please remember this. If you would like help on picture placement, I am always available.keystoneridin! (talk) 23:01, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

REPLY: Its a picture of the law school. I am not sure how much more relevant you can get. Please do not delete this again. Wikics14 (talk) 21:58, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The picture must be below the links to the rest of the page, not to the left. You are hereby warned.keystoneridin! (talk) 06:15, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Please do not use styles that are unusual or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. Thank you.keystoneridin! (talk) 06:15, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

REPLY: Moving a picture has nothing to do with the WRITING Manual of Style. Please contribute something of value or do not contribute anything at all. Undoing your unhelpful and incorrect changes is a waste of my time. Wikics14 (talk) 19:15, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, as to your previous attempt to move the picture (again), you are incorrect that the TOC must always be to the left. It is an editor's stylistic decision. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Section#Wikipedia-specific_help ("The TOC can, in some instances, be floated either right or left using or when it is beneficial to the layout of the article, or when the default TOC gets in the way of other elements.")Wikics14 (talk) 19:15, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Second Warning

[edit]

Please assume good faith in your dealings with other editors. Assume that they are here to improve rather than harm Wikipedia. keystoneridin! (talk) 20:04, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

REPLY: I am going to get a true admin involved with this dispute you have created. I do not apppreciate your "warnings," nor do I appreciate you re-doing my work just to be a bully. Again, if you have something valuable to contribute, please do so. I welcome improvements to this page. I do not, however, welcome spite fights.Wikics14 (talk) 20:07, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: I placed the picture there because it is relevant to the paragraph below. The picture is not relevant to the list created unless you have intended to create promotional text.keystoneridin! (talk) 20:15, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Last Warning

[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to Sturm College of Law, you will be blocked from editing.

REPLY: Seriously? Please go do something valuable with your time. I have asked for admin assistance to resolve this dispute. I do not appreciate your "warnings," nor your attempt to be a bully on this site.Wikics14 (talk) 20:27, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Wikics14. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

Bullying

[edit]

I likewise do not appreciate you asserting that I am a bully. I have no intent on removing your picture, as I assume that it is your work. I do however, believe that the picture does belong with a paragraph where people will read about the school and then see the picture to the right or left. If you feel that I am bullying you, I am truly sorry. I also would like to know of where you find that I have deleted several pictures before? I only deleted my own pictures because I could not get them in the correct format and each of these were in the sandbox. I am trying to make the page better, as I see that you are. Thank you for your contributions to date, and I am once again sorry that you feel that I am a bully.keystoneridin! (talk) 21:05, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keystoneridin's approach to content disputes has not been the best, here. I strongly suggest that you have a discussion at Talk:Sturm College of Law on the placement of the image. Where you placed it, in your second reversion of Keystoneridin, was not in fact where it originally was (as can be seen from this diff), and was not a particularly good place for an image.
