David Wisdom

David Wisdom is a former Canadian radio personality, who hosted the music programs Nightlines, RadioSonic, Radio-On, and Pearls of Wisdom on CBC Radio Two. He has been called "the Canadian equivalent of John Peel"[1]. Since his retirement in 2007, he has exhibited as a photo media artist [2], his photographic series from 1969 to 1979 documents the development of the city of Vancouver

David Wisdom's mother, Gay (Scrivener) Wisdom, attended The Old Vic in the Class of 1937 and was a well-known Canadian 1950s radio-play actress, repertory theatre actress in London and regional England during World War II. She was an International Examiner for Trinity College, London in her later career and in this role, did 7 'tours' of Australia in the 1980s. She held an Hon FTCL, FTCL, LTCL and adjudicated in British Columbia and Ontario during her long career as an educator.
