Herbert P. Gleason, Esq. has practiced law in Boston since 1958, mostly in the fields of municipal law, real estate development and health care. He was Chairman of the Board of Health and Hospitals of the City of Boston and was a founder and director of the Neighborhood Health Plan. He also served on the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission and the Boston Parks and Recreation Commission. He was educated at Harvard College and Harvard Law School.

Since 1949, Mr. Gleason has been involved with the Salzburg Global Seminar, a non-profit organization based in Salzburg, Austria whose mission is to challenge current and future leaders to develop creative ideas for solving global problems. He was the Clerk of the Seminar when it was incorporated in 1950, Acting President in 1986, and is now Secretary of the Board of Directors.
