Luke Ball

Luke Ball was (born 25 May, 1984), is an Australian rules footballer. He's the younger brother of Hawthorn player Matthew Ball. Luke was drafted to the St Kilda Football Club in 2001 at the priority pick 2. overall. He debuted in 2003 after having injury problems.

He was a Rising Star nominee in 2003, with Sam Mitchell winning.

2004 was a big year for Ball, coming 2nd in St Kilda's best and fairest award, playing in the Internation Rules against Ireland and playing the pre-season premiership cup side.

Ball won the Best and Fairest award, tying with fellow teamate Steven Baker in 2005.

Ball is tipped to inherit St.Kilda's captaincy from Nick Riewoldt in 2006.
