Recycled Percussion
Recycled Percussion is a Manchester, New Hampshire-based band. The group was originally based in Goffstown, New Hampshire. They use recycled materials as instruments and are finalists on the fourth season of the reality show series America's Got Talent.[1]
History
Recycled Percussion began as an act in a high school talent show in Goffstown, New Hampshire in 1995.[citation needed] They used recycled objects such as ladders, pots, pans and 50-gallon drums as musical instruments to perform both original music and covers of popular rock songs. They appeared in the fourth season of NBC's reality talent show America's Got Talent.
Instruments
Recycled Percussion uses trashcans or buckets instead of drums with drumsticks & standard gold cymbal drums. Other recycled materials the band uses include chainsaws and 50 gallon plastic, rusty metal barrels, kitchen sinks, metal grinders, etc.[1]
Genre
Recycled Percussion plays different genres of music: metallic, reggae, techno, blues, ska, jazz, classic rock, hip hop, punk, boy band, and “junk”. [1]
