The Conservative Bible Project seeks to rewrite the Bible in an effort to remove liberal bias terms from the Bible. Specifically the project seeks to "take the Bible back to its supposed right wing roots." [1] The project does not define what liberal bias means; i.e. liberal as commonly used in the United States political system or a too far reaching translation by the original translators of the Bible into current versions.

Views on the Project

Rod Dreher, a conservative editor and columnist, described the project as "insane hubris" and "crazy" he further described the project as "It's like what you'd get if you crossed the Jesus Seminar with the College Republican chapter at a rural institution of Bible learnin'. [2]
